To meet with Dawn, please contact Mary at info@unione.foundation

Dawn Engle & PeaceJam are working on three key initiatives now, and are looking for potential partners and funders for all three:

1)  The Nobel Legacy Film Series:  We are looking for three more Producers for the next film in our award-winning Nobel Legacy Film Series, « Dalai Lama — Scientist ».

This will be the first film to capture the Dalai Lama’s extensive work in the field of science. For more than thirty years, he has been engaged in deep dialogue and research partnership with scientists from around the world. The results of this exchange between East and West have been both illuminating and startling.  With never before seen footage and in-depth interviews with the Dalai Lama, leading scientists and Buddhist philosophers, « Dalai Lama — Scientist » will share the most exciting findings that have been reached so far — and it will also follow the efforts now being made to implement this new found wisdom in the world.

« Dalai Lama — Scientist » is the fourth film in the award-winning Nobel Legacy Film Series; previous films successfully released are « Desmond Tutu — Children of the Light »; « Adolfo Perez Esquivel — Rivers of Hope »; and « Rigoberta Menchu: Daughter of the Maya ».

The film will have its World Premiere at the Monte Carlo T.V. and Film Festival in June of 2017, and distribution for the film has already been secured.  Those who step up to fill the role of Producer for « Dalai Lama — Scientist » will be invited to attend the World Premiere and to participate in three days of promotional activities for the film.  A funding commitment of $50,000 is requested. A more detailed overview of the film, production team and budget is attached below.

2)  The One Billion Acts of Peace Campaign:  We are looking for partners for our One Billion Acts of Peace campaign, which has been nominated seven times for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The campaign is designed to empower people around the world to come together to solve the most pressing issues facing humanity.  Over seven million acts of peace have already been logged since the campaign was launched 18 months ago, and we are working with our lead partner Google to create more powerful platforms that will allow NGO’s, businesses, universities, local governments, and individuals to collaborate in an unprecedented way on projects designed to create a better future for all of humanity.  Thirteen Nobel Peace Laureates are leading this audaciously ambitious campaign — an overview of the campaign is attached.

3)  Bringing the PeaceJam Program to Belgium:  We are looking for potential partners — youth service organizations, leaders in the field of peace education, and potential funders — to work with us to bring the award-winning PeaceJam program to Belgium..

The year-long, ongoing PeaceJam program for youth develops young leaders who are empowered to act as agents of change.  With over twenty years of experience in the youth development field, the PeaceJam program has proven results and a tremendous track record of success.  More than 1 million young people have participated in the PeaceJam program to date, from 39 different countries around the world.  A one-page overview of our PeaceJam programming is attached, along with the PeaceJam case statement.
